## Note amount wasn't updated properly so there is 8 XMR left over from this proposal.
## What and Why ?
The end goal is twofold:
1) Get started with a basic variant to handle transactions both in legacy and seraphis: since a blockchain is made of blocks and blocks are made of transactions, we probably need a class to handle node queries smoothly between the classes `transaction` and `SpTxSquashedV1`. Hopefully this will generate discussions and start paving the way for future works about reading/writing data from/in the blockchain (1/4 of total time).
2) Make a basic but broad demonstrator of the seraphis_wallet by: opening a wallet, make mock transactions, make transaction proofs, show enotes and balance, close wallet. A lot of work has been done in this direction but they are not yet fully organized. So the goal is to have this basic but organized demonstrator capable of doing that (3/4 of total time).
I would work on the following tasks:
- Create the `TransactionVariant = tools::variant<transaction, SpTxSquashedV1>` to handle similar methods of these classes.
- Create unit_tests with legacy and seraphis transactions to test these methods.
- Create basic functions for wallet initialization, program flow and terminal handling.
- Create the basic components of a seraphis_wallet (basically the wallet needs to load/save the `KeyContainer`, `EnoteStore` and `TransactionHistory` components).
- Create basic function to fill `EnoteStore`.
- Use mock transactions like `construct_tx_for_mock_ledger_v1` to create txs.
- Add entries to `TransactionHistory` when a transaction creation is attempted.
- Create terminal functions to show enotes and provide knowledge proofs.
- Close/save wallet and make sure it loads everything when reopened.
All the efforts will be documented and made public on the seraphis_wallet group. Unit_tests will be provided whenever possible.

I propose to work for 40 USD per hour, 20h per week, for 12 weeks (or until I finish all the tasks), which makes 64 XMR considering 150 USD/XMR.

## TLDR
Hello, I would like your help to develop more features for Seraphis like the audit framework and a simple CLI wallet.
## What and Why ?
I will try to address the following issues:
1) Create the necessary functions and explanation for the audit framework in Seraphis, i.e., proofs of ownership, unspentness, tx in, tx out (InProof,UnspentProof,SpendProof, OutProof) and update the [legacy](https://github.com/monero-project/monero/issues/7353) protocol if necessary .
2) Help developing a wallet for Seraphis. My goal is to be able to create the necessary functions to open a wallet, perform a CLI 'transfer address amount' that would create a transaction in the Seraphis/Jamtis standards, close the wallet, re-open a new wallet where the transferred funds are, 'scan the blockchain' and transfer the funds back to the original wallet. I will closely work with koe, rbrunner and jberman to better elaborate the tasks and get feedbacks or follow-ups whenever possible. Initially, the simplest wallet would open/save/close a file, keep track of the transactions inputs and outputs, perform a transfer in the Seraphis standards and prepare everything for the serialization and storage in the blockchain. These are the minimum features I will implement. More about it [here](https://github.com/seraphis-migration/wallet3/issues/10).
## Who
- I created the website [www.moneroinflation.com](www.moneroinflation.com) where you can find some information to improve your odds of winning a debate about the inflation issue in Monero.
- I have spotted a [fungibility issue](https://github.com/monero-project/monero/issues/8351) (Monero allows the storage of non-canonical points which harms the fungibility of transactions).
- I have spotted a [malleability issue](https://github.com/monero-project/monero/issues/8438) (Monero has wrong signatures - signatures that don't match the data stored in the blockchain according to the canonical standards, which came from a wrong operation of a function when certain conditions are not met).
- AFAIK I was the first to make an implementation of the core functions of Monero in another language and (try to) scan the whole blockchain with them.
I propose to work for 40 EUR per hour, 25h per week, for 18 weeks. Which makes 120 XMR considering 150 EUR/XMR.
If everything goes well, I believe we could have a basic PoC CLI wallet by the end of January/23 and enough achievements to move to testnet.

## What and Why ?
Since we have now a basic demonstrator of a wallet using a mock ledger, my next goal is to have it on a real ledger. Many components are well developed for that goal like the enote_scanner from @jberman with @SNeedlewoods modifications and the serialization functions from @jeffro256 to enable write/reading transactions into a block in a blockchain file. So the idea is to put all the components together and finish developing the remaining ones in order to have a functional (local) regtest.
The tasks I can foresee for that goal are:
- Review @ghostway's KeyContainer to get it into its final form
- Have a working MockLedger that correctly handles legacy and seraphis enotes.
- Have a prototype of a wallet that loads a legacy wallet, derive a seraphis wallet from that and create seraphis transactions (both using Grootle proofs and FCMP) using legacy enotes.
- Create the basic functions to mine blocks and send enotes to an user.
- Save/Load the blocks into the blockchain using a LMDB database.
- Make sure to have a basic wallet working on a LMDB regtest database capable of doing basic functions like loading the wallet keys and its enote/history, transferring, visualizing and making knowledge proofs on enotes.
There are many intermediary tasks that would be necessary to do that I am not fully aware of now.

Heyo everyone. Diego here with a CCS proposal. As some of you may know, we raised funds last year for equipment that will be used at Defcon (and potentially other conferences). This equipment is currently in a storage unit in Las Vegas, Nevada. It's time to pay for another year for the storage space.
Also as some of you may know, there's a virus thingy going around and conferences are cancelled, including Defcon (which is now having an online conference which we may take part of). This means we won't be using the equipment this year, sadly. Still, it's not going anywhere for future years.
The total cost for the year is $1020. There is still 5 XMR leftover in the Defcon wallet (where sponsors donated to be a part), so that's $300 (assuming $60/XMR). That brings the total needed down to $720, or 12 XMR. Add a sub-10% buffer of 1 XMR and we get 13 XMR.
ajs is currently paying this out of pocket so the XMR will go to him. I'm just making the proposal. If this takes a while to fund I may pay him out of pocket so he's not out money for too long and it'll go to me. Something like that.

## What and Why ?
Transaction history component with knowledge proofs
The idea is to collect transaction records (both for legacy and seraphis) authored by the wallet in order to provide the user the information he wants to look back. This component should import or update authored txs by looking at their enote's key-image and spent status.
The plan is to go in the direction of building a component to handle transactions by integrating the following non-comprehensive list of equivalent wallet2 methods into a component: get_transfers, get_payments, get_payments_out, get_unconfirmed_payments_out, get_unconfirmed_payments, export_outputs, import_outputs, import_outputs_from_str, export_payments, import_payments, import_payments_out, get_num_transfer_details, transfer_details, get_tx_proof, check_tx_proof, get_spend_proof, check_spend_proof, get_reserve_proof, check_reserve_proof.
An initial discussion about this topic can be found [here](https://github.com/seraphis-migration/wallet3/issues/49).
Since some of these functions are not purely wallet functions as they depend on a daemon, I expect to help and get help to properly interface them with a proto daemon.
All the efforts will be documented and unit_tests will be provided whenever possible.

I propose to work for 30 USD per hour, 20h per week, for 8 weeks (2 months). Which makes 31 XMR considering 155 USD/XMR.

# `***This proposal's final 2 milestones are being repurposed for Feather wallet***`
# What
32 hours a week for 3 months. [My last proposal](https://forum.getmonero.org/9/work-in-progress/90931/full-time-gui-coding) was the first where I was able to dedicate fulltime attention to Monero. Thus, past 3 months has seen substantial improvements to the GUI. For example, all points from [this issue](https://github.com/monero-project/monero-gui/issues/1568) have been resolved or at least improved upon.
# Who
I'm dsc, familiar with Monero GUI internals and contributed to the GUI codebase since fall 2017.
My contributions/experience:
- https://github.com/monero-project/monero-gui/commits?author=xmrdsc
- https://github.com/xmrdsc/py-levin/commits?author=xmrdsc (autonode.xmr.pm)

- Free VPS Hosting for XMR i2p workgroup, Noncense Research Lab and a Gitea [backup git](https://git.xmr.pm) instance.
- The fan-favourite & glorious IRC bot `xmr-pr` - making everyones life more managable
# Report on the previous 3 months
- [Introduced white theme](https://github.com/monero-project/monero-gui/pull/2060)
- [New wizards](https://github.com/monero-project/monero-gui/pull/1909), both code and design rewritten from scratch
- [Simple mode](https://github.com/monero-project/monero-gui/pull/1909): automatic remote node finder (autonode.xmr.pm)
- [IPC](https://github.com/monero-project/monero-gui/pull/2029) (`monero://` and `moneroseed://` uri handler)
- Introduced font-awesome + .svg for higher quality icons
- [New transaction history page](https://github.com/monero-project/monero-gui/pull/2025)
- Wrote a 'GUI development guidelines' document (not released yet :-P)
In addition I 'cleaned up' QML components and reviewed/rewrote existing QML/js logic. Good QML components lead to a more stable/clean UX. This is time consuming, as QML is not intuitive or easy to work with (compared to, say, HTML + CSS). These efforts are a balance between "needing to clean up the codebase before we can continue" versus "delivering tangible results the community benefits from".
# Proposal
32 hours per week at 50 USD/hour rate for a total of 282 XMR. XMR/USD rate is roughly based on the average of the past 2 weeks.
I'd rather not post bi-weekly updates in this PR/Reddit, rather wish to have a weekly meeting on Tuesday in `#monero-gui` on Freenode. This will be an opportunity where the GUI workgroup discusses recent developments, open issues/PRs, and to-do's.
# What I want to focus on
Or rather, what I could choose to focus on. Following list is unordered in terms of prioritization.
### Tor/i2p integration
Due to knaccc/jgrassie's efforts (et al.), Monero now has support for tor/i2p. GUI should implement this. Challenges ahead:
1. Come up with a design that works in terms of UX
1. How to present tor/i2p options to the user?
2. Where can the user switch between connection types?
2. tiny-i2p/tor binaries will not be included in the GUI release, how to deal with this?
## Android/Purism
Purism has shown interest in having Monero GUI natively and included by default on their Librem 5 (phone). This idea has overlap with a long standing wish of having an Android GUI release, as both would require [a new QML application](https://github.com/monero-project/monero-gui/issues/2026).
Time estimates for both Android/librem support would most likely result in at least 50% of this CCS's time allocation. As such, I'm not commiting to this task before the community prioritizes this goal and/or someone wants to partially fund this mobile adventure :-o)
## Support database pruning
[More info here](https://github.com/monero-project/monero-gui/issues/2087).
## Fix update checker
GUI has functionality to check if a newer version of the GUI is available, via DNS. I believe this was disabled some time ago. We should get this functionality working.
## Rewrite modals and popups
Current GUI popups can be improved. Kneuffeulbund [made new designs](https://i.imgur.com/ERxMW0S.png) I'd like to implement.
## Monerod as a service on Linux/MacOS
The ability to register/create a `monerod` service from within the GUI, and add it to system startup using systemd (linux), LaunchAgent (MacOS) + system tray. For Windows, such registration should take place in rbrunner's installer. I will not work on a Windows service.
This should also support [Automatic mining](https://github.com/monero-project/monero-gui/issues/2046).
## User testing session GUI feedback
Take user feedback from [an IRL GUI testing session](https://github.com/monero-project/monero-gui/issues/2040) and implement them.
## Integrate the Monero GUI guide
Integrate the Monero GUI guide from the translations workgroup inside the GUI, using a markdown to HTML renderer, inside QML, using QtWebView.
## Tooltips, context menus
Right-click->copy/paste would be nice to have for input boxes. Also help tooltips.
## moneroseed://
Support for `moneroseed://` URIs. [More info here](https://github.com/monero-project/monero-gui/issues/2023).
## CMake build recipe
A CMake recipe, replacing qmake, will be a requirement to create reproducible builds. Currently I'm experimenting with one, it may be finished soon. Might also not be. Would like to work with TheCharlatan on this.
## Misc. GUI development
- Manage issue tracker
- Bugfixes
- Improving QML components where fit
- Code review PRs

### ELOORUOBUOB PART TIME FOR THREE MONTH
Hi there,
El00ruobuob again, asking if you want to support my work for the current quarter.
#### Report since last quarter
I have been missing a bunch of report lately, and i've not done as much as i expected (but still respecting my minimum devoted time), but here's what i did:
* [Finished the Wallet RPC refresh, based on 0.13 wallet-rpc](https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/monero-site/merge_requests/898)
* [Translated the developer guides to French](https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/monero-site/merge_requests/939) (pending merge)
* Did a few correction on both wallet & server rpc guides
* Updated a few user guide to 0.13
* Translated the Gui wallet guide to French
* Reported the community meetings
* Helped in translating the GUI for 0.14
* [Updated the French Quick Facts sheet from Outreach Workgroup](https://github.com/monero-ecosystem/outreach-docs/pull/102)
* Maybe other things i can't remember
#### Current work list
1. Hangout Page
I started working a few month ago to a new hangout page.
It had been discuss in community meeting a while ago, and an issue is opened since [here](https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/monero-site/issues/775)
I made a few tests and think about "what should be the best", and come with a solution:
* The hangout page should highlight a support section on the right (as it is actually for StackExchange), and adding the r/MoneroSupport along with the MRW website in this section.
* The hangout page must let user choose where to join the discussion, based on the tools he use, or based on the things he wanted to do. So i replaced the left side panes with a dynamic section where you can choose "By Platform" (listing all channels/groups/sites on all platforms, including IRC, Mattermost, Reddit, Taiga, Telegram, external website & ressources), or "By WorkGroup" (listing all the workgroups with their respectives places.
This is still an ongoing work, as i try to figure out how to best handle this at code (html/liquid/<lang>.yml) level, but you can see and test it on [my own branch](https://repo.getmonero.org/el00ruobuob/monero-site/tree/Hangout).
2. Research Lab & Dev Meetings reports
A few weeks ago, dEBRUYNE asked me if i may be able to add the Research Lab meetings & Dev meetings logs to the blog.
I accept the task and started with the Research Lab Meeting backlog ([10 meetings' logs in a merge request atm.](https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/monero-site/merge_requests/999))
3. GUI guide update to 0.14
With the upcoming upgrade, i proposed to help Erciccione with the updates on the GUI Guide.
I haven't started yet but offers to work on this in the next days.
4. MMS guide translation
I started to tranlate this just before the GUI call for translator.
It is a huge user-guide and will requires more time than i suspected.
5. Miscellaneous
Other small activities always needs time every now and then.
There are new strings for Monerujo i haven't translate to French yet (or even look at).
I continue to post the Community Meeting logs and do any stuff i can to help anyone asking for (as long as it doesn't requires me to lengthen a day's 24h)
#### *It's not about the money money money*
But, still...
For this new Quarter, in this obviously Bear market, i am asking for 1.25XMR per hour, on a 3 hours a week basis.
That's a 15XMR a month, so 45XMR total.
My milestone will be monthly-based:
* January: **15XMR**
* February: **15XMR**
* March: **15XMR**
Anyway, feels welcome to give your thoughts, or ask for emergency work from me.
See you soon!

**WHO?**
Hi Everyone,
I'm el00ruobuob, if i still have to introduce myself, i've done the French translation of Monero Website with the help of erciccione, the monerujo French translation for m2049r, a full refresh of developer daemon RPC guide, the relocalization of Moneropedia, and much more.
If you do not know me yet, look at the latest merged PR on monero-site, the Open-Hub stats, the reports on my previous FFS, or ask erciccione, rehrar & luigi1111 how annoying i am ;)
**WHY?**
I would like to continue doing the French localization for almost anything that came up. I also would like to help in any possible ways, like creating/updating guides or generally improving the website.
As the work done on my previous FFS seems to still be appreciated, i propose to continue to help the community in another FFS.
**WHAT?**
I will still run for a very minimum work-time to half an hour par day, 6 days a week. That's a 3 hours a week, and for those who know me a, it's really an underestimation.
At the moment, i just finished with the moneropedia french translation, and i have this todo list:
Finishing Wallet RPC Dev guide refresh (84% done) - P1
Kovri guides versioning (as suggested by rehrar) - P2
Port monero-integrations on the website, if we have a consensus on this - P2
Buying a Ledger to port dEBRUYNE-1 Ledger GUI guide on the website userguide with screenshots and photos - P3
Given the recent rise of price (around 100€), i am asking 0.5XMR per hour. If the price continue to raise, it will be lowered of course.
So a 1.5XMR per week or 6XMR per month.
**WHEN?**
I propose milestones not for particular achievements, but for each month.
* October: 6XMR;
* November: 6XMR;
* December: 6XMR.
For a grand total of 18XMR.
Edit 9/5: If the price stays stable at the current level, it will only be 15XMR
Edit2: i may have cursed the charts by writing this :(
Edit 9/12: at actual price of 85€ I will ask for 21XMR. I hope to curse the chart in opposite direction;).
**WHERE?**
Work done would be seen on:
* My github;
* Monero Project GitHub;
* Taiga.
And if you want to donate to me directly, be my guest:

I'm proposing to continue my part time work on Getmonero.org (monero-site repository), 20 hours a week for 3 more months.
## What
I will work on the website in the same terms as in [my last proposal](https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/-/merge_requests/111), so basically:
- Triaging issues
- Adding new functionalities according to the feedback of the community
- Increasing user friendliness
- Updating obsolete sections
- Improving localization process
- Bug fixes
- Reviews
I triage or review the vast majority of the [issues](https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/monero-site/-/issues) and merge requests on the monero-site repository. You can also see the list of my [past direct contributions](https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/monero-site/-/merge_requests?scope=all&utf8=%E2%9C%93&state=merged&author_username=erciccione) to have an idea of the work i do. I usually post updates about the website on reddit as well (see [the last one](https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/fetf6z/getmoneroorg_updated_fixed_meta_tags_updated/)).
## Milestones
I'm proposing to work as developer on the monero-site repository for three months at a rate of €30/hour, starting on April 2020, 20 hours a week. This results in a total of *~~180 XMR~~* *~~167 XMR~~* *180 XMR* at the rate 1 XMR = ~~€40~~ ~~€43~~ €40.

I'm proposing to continue my part time work on Getmonero.org (monero-site repository), 20 hours a week for 3 more months. This proposal includes 2 weeks of holiday.
## Holiday
I've been working non stop on Monero for the last 4 years, most of the time 7 days a week. The only time i had to take a forced break was when my laptop was stolen. Situation that forced me to interrupt all my activities for 10 days. Since i couldn't work i waited to open another CCS proposal, effectively losing ten days of salary.
I've been feeling quite burned out for some time and i really need to take a break, that's why i included two weeks of holiday in this proposal. I will use this time to rest, but also to take care of other Monero stuff that i'm working on.
The two weeks of holiday will be in effect as soon as this proposal is merged.
