This is a feature request for a special kind of wallet.
The use-case is for a pre-paid wallet to be generated from the existing wallet, so that it can be easily gifted to someone who doesnt have Monero yet.
To increase security I propose that these pre-paid wallets are temporary wallets and are converted into a new normal wallet when received.
Pre-Paid Wallet Creater:
- Clicks 'Create Pre-Paid wallet' button
- then enters amount (less than or equal to current wallet balance, inclusive of the cost of 2 transactions)
- Automatically generate a new wallet (with a Pre-paid identifier)
- Automatically Sends new pre-paid wallet the amount of 'pre-paid' Monero.
- Details of the pre-paid wallet are displayed; Seed/Private Key/Pre-Paid Transaction View Key/QR Code
- Option to print a Paper wallet
- Created sends details to reciever (paper wallet / birthday card / email etc...)
Pre-Paid Wallet Receiver:
- Receives details of the pre-paid wallet (Seed/Private Key/QR Code, Paper Wallet)
- Creates/Restores wallet from Seed/Private Key
- Monero automatically recognises this as a Pre-paid wallet
- Automatically generates a new (normal) wallet
- Automatically sends the new wallet the amount of 'pre-paid' Monero.
# Why
I would like to see the gifting of Monero automated and simplified.
This proposal will help to introduce people to Monero and has the possibility of increasing the useability of Monero, increasing the userbase and expanding the community.
# Who
Well im your 'average joe' monero fan but I have no real coding knowledge or skills I can offer in support of developing this feature.
I fould in extremly laborous to gift friends Monero as a present.
I hope this proposal inspires someone who does have some skills and can take on this project.
# Amount Requested
an arbitrary amount of 100XMR has been set and will need to be ammended by She/He who takes on this challenge.
# Milestones / Timeline & Payouts
To be determined by She/He who takes on this challenge.
# Expiration date
I propose that this project expires by June 9, 2020https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/-/merge_requests/77Sarang: research funding for 2019 Q32019-09-27T13:32:44ZSarang NoetherSarang: research funding for 2019 Q3Hello to you. This is Dr. Sarang Noether, requesting ongoing research funding for the next quarter. My current funding period is complete at the end of June, and I'm ready to go for another three months of research and development for the Monero Research Lab.
My monthly reports for the current funding period are available, and I encourage you to read them:
- [April](https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/merge_requests/34#note_5903)
- [May](https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/merge_requests/34#note_6373)
- [June](https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/merge_requests/34#note_6648)
The last few months have seen plenty of work on formalization and testing of new signature schemes, output selection, sublinear transaction protocols, Bulletproofs, input merging, and more.
As always, the list of research topics of interest is constantly evolving! Some items of interest:
- CLSAG review and deployment: Both the mathematics and implementation of the CLSAG signature scheme should be reviewed prior to deployment.
- Analysis of sublinear transaction protocols: This includes Lelantus, RingCT3.0, and Omniring. Each presents different tradeoffs in efficiency, privacy, and usability.
- Ristretto: The use of an abstraction layer may provide a useful way to take advantage of some of the efficiency and security benefits of this curve representation.
- Output selection: There are aspects to this (like fixed output sets) that are of interest, especially as we look toward transaction protocols with larger practical anonymity sets.
- Dynamic block size improvements: This is a holdover from my last request that there was not time to investigate properly.
- Efficient circuit code: Several different scaling solutions to zero-knowledge circuit evaluation, from Bulletproofs to Spartan, are of interest.
- Literature review: This is, as always, ongoing.
- Outreach and education: These typically include episodes of Breaking Monero, Coffee Chats, and other avenues.
- The unexpected: Research rarely goes precisely the way we expect, so it is important to stay on top of whatever new proposals or issues arise unexpectedly.
As always, I work hard to provide value to the community and project for the value you provide here. For the funding period beginning July 2019 and continuing through September 2019, my request continues to be 10415 USD per month, my assessment of market compensation for an independent Ph.D. researcher in the United States with a record of quality work. Therefore, the request total is **355 XMR**, based on a 14-day exponential moving average of 88 USD/XMR taken from Kraken.
**Please read this paragraph carefully.** As was done for my previous request, this request will be paid out in full immediately when it is funded. This greatly reduces the volatility that otherwise arises from being paid out over time for ongoing work, and ensures that the value of donations is the value that reaches me. I hope that my record of work for the project speaks for itself, and that I continue to earn your trust to continue that work.
Comments, questions, and discussion about this proposal are welcome. This community continues to stand out as unique for its ongoing support of research and development, and I want to thank everyone who supports the project in whatever way they choose. Travala appears to be the most well positioned company to bring cryptocurrency adoption to the travel booking space right now.
There are only a few select places where accomodation could be purchases with BTC (xmr.to), including travala, but it seems to me that the sooner we start having XMR accepted natively - the sooner we cast a very wide net - the better.
The importance of this to the Monero community is, I hope, self-evident:
The ability to spend XMR at various merchants is essential for the success of Monero. And as we know, Monero is uniquely positioned to take the role of digital cash due to its privacy features.
The form to submit a request to add a coin is here:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfZJWDen2yZIn2tl_3Dh44FX-Z9AKNAUMU4E41nF_ESn6jeGw/viewform
It seems a bit geared towards centralized projects, but after repeatedly failing to get in touch with travala through other means, I figured that creating the CCS and bringing awareness to this topic would be the way forward.
Undoubtedly they will want a little "incentive" to list XMR, but I do not know how much, or even if it's actually required.
This CCS then serves to discuss the receptivity of the community to engaging with travala.com for the purpose of adding XMR as a payment option, and assuming that feedback is positive, whether we are willing to pay some amount of XMR to see it happen.https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/-/merge_requests/75Mooo's july 2019 ccs2019-10-31T16:08:27Zmoneromooo-moneroMooo's july 2019 ccsHi all,

Here are some of the things that I'm expecting to work on:
0.14.1 release
bandwidth savings in sync
more tests
CLSAG integration (assuming it passes final MRL vetting)
Possibly Dandelion, assuming again MRL vets a monero version
With the usual hourly $30 + .2 monero guide, and monero currently at <s>~$93</s> <s>~$85</s> $82, the target this time is <s>272</s> <s>288</s> 294 monero.

Keyi Store is an eCommerce store that has ability to accept all and any cryptocurrency. The Store is currently in production. Anyone can now from Keyi Store (https://keyi.store) for cryptocurrency and it will be shipped. Also, we maintain the top notch Privacy, in general anyone can request us to remove data, simply mail us and everything is deleted, even the order informations(no hard copy or softcopy). As of now we already have a lot of products and we are adding more too. We can become the best eCommerce Store in the cryptocurrency world provided we have sufficient support from the cryptocurrency community.
Our platform can list ERC20 tokens for free but we charge $700 (monthly) or $7000 (annually) for our Pay Later gateway. If every 500 monthly transactions on our website, we give a 15% discount. The fund goes on for developing the other Payment Gateway + Wallet (Interest based).
We also have our own Payment Gateway, Pay Later, this gateway can delay the payments up to 48 hours as of now and we are trying to make it 5 days. So, anyone can order products from us, the order will be processed but the payment can be done later. We are also creating a credit based Payment Gateway, where users can add their desired cryptocurrency, whenever the user is ordering anything from us, the amount will be automatically deducted. Plus, the users can earn interest for keeping their money in the system. Pay Later is already out and can be used on our website and we are still developing the other Wallet + Gateway + Interest based.
So, we don't have any Partners at the moment and we are unable to promote it to the cryptocurrency community due to lack of resources. We have partnered with two companies, BEAM and Verasity and we are in discussion with more than 8 companies including NavCoin.
So, we want to have community backing from Monero to help Keyi Store to succeed. We have to the product, we are adding partners, we have the distributor plus logistic partners.
Who will complete the project?
Saumya Brata Dutt will complete the project. The platform has been launched and is working. We need support in marketing as well as awareness.
Why it is important for Monero and the community? Any Benefits?
We are expecting great sales if we have the right Marketing and Promotion as well as we will be adding more Partners. Our goal is to bring to real
life applications that use or based on cryptocurrency and can also be used by non-cryptocurrency holders(people unaware and not using cryptocurrency). Keyi Store is one of our first application that is promising. If we are to receive assistance from Monero and the Community, we will display it in our platform, plus we will use Monero as one of the main currency for the company. So, any payment done on our website will be converted from whatever cryptocurrency to XMR. Plus, in every transactional message, receipts and communication method we will use
'Supported by Monero'. Once we gain enough customers, we will conduct programs to promote Monero to our customers. And lastly, we will provide some of the best offers and discounts to Monero holders only.
Example, if Someone buys a MacBook from our website and pays in BTC, we will accept the BTC, but to store the money we will use Monero.
We are open to any other ideas except for changing the Store product price display currency at the moment. And, we don't accept any fiat currency at the moment.
What makes our platform different from others?
First, we really work hard. Our main competitor, as we thought was Flogmall. But after some research, we found that the website was not at
all getting much traffic, hence they simply raised money from ICO and they not doing something to make it bigger. Whereas, we are working hard to make it a reality, a store from where you can buy anything with any cryptocurrency, plus, we have our own Gateway as well as creating another one.
Why are we creating our own token and holding an ICO?
First, we plan to accept all cryptocurrency. Second, creating a Utility token doesn't even make sense when there are a lot of tokens available. We could create a revenue sharing token, where the token price is based on a direct profit sharing model(like 40% to 50%), where the profit is delivered through a mainstream token. If we were to conduct an internal crowdfund or ICO for the platform from Governance based cryptocurrency the result will be the same. We agree we could raise a lot of funds, but the token will not have many usages, plus we don't have resources to do the marketing. Simple as that, the whole operation will be a failure, plus the stress of everything failing will make it worse.
Do we plan to hold an ICO in future?
This completely depends on the results, currently, we only planning to crowdfund with benefits for community or stake in our platform. If we don't succeed here, we might try with other companies. And even then if it fails, we will appeal directly to the community plus I'll create a token on revenue based system. If this was successful, we will consult the Monero Community before holding important events like ICO. But we think this can be a great an opportunity for us, as well as for the Community, not only we will promote Monero within our website and community in future but also we will use Monero for financials and promote the usage of Monero.
Why choose Keyi Store (recap)?
1. The platform which is working perfectly.
2. Our project is liked because most of the companies we contact are ready to be listed.
3. Currently, 2 partners listed, plus NavCoin listed but yet to announce.
4. Pay Later Gateway (beta) can support up to 48 hours late or delay payment but processes the payment.
5. We can accept orders and ship orders with a tracking number.
6. Another Gateway + Wallet (Interest-based) development underway, which can be used to pay directly within our platforms and upcoming platforms.
Milestones and projected timeline
Milestone 1 - Integration of Monero in our Pay Later Gateway. Includes 1 year of Integration plus benefits. We charge $700 per month but annually we have reduced it to $7000. Also, for every 500 transactions in our website 15% discount on a monthly charge. The fund goes in developing the other Gateway + Wallet (Interest based).
Timeline - June 4, 2019
Milestone 2 - Community Promotion
If Monero Community members share Keyi Store, it will already be known to a lot of community members and holders of other currencies too.
Timeline - June 7, 2019
Milestone 3 - 3 Infographic Video
We will hire an animator to create 3 Infographic Video, which can be used later for promotion.
Timeline - June 17, 2019
Milestone 4 - Advertising and Marketing PR
We will do a Press Release which should inform a lot of Blockchain supporters about the project.
Timeline - June 20, 2019
Milestone 5 - Advertising and Marketing YouTube
We will advertise on YouTube to promote Keyi Store. YouTube can help with brand awareness.
Timeline - June 24, 2019
Expiration Date - June 2, 2019
Currently, we are open for a stake based fund, so the whatever we earn we will give Monero community a percentage of it or reward based, where we can give amazing offers for the Monero community only or even both.
Open for discussions, pros and cons etc.

Last year the people at Defcon were nice enough to provide us Audio/Video recording for our village, however the quality could have been better as can be seen from the videos here:

#### Why did the video suck and how can it be improved?
The main problem with the video quality was lighting. The ISO might have been set too high causing a grainy image with lots of noise. The proposed solution is to use a LED lighting to help lower the ISO and properly light the subject from different angles. I plan to rent a Promaster LED1000B Specialist LED 2 Light Transport Kit from [B&C Camera](https://store.bandccamera.com/pages/rentals).
Another problem with the video, was audio. To improve it, I will rent a Zoom H5 Handy Recorder to record the sound directly from the mixer. After Defcon, I'll import the audio and edit the videos with [Shotcut](https://shotcut.org). In post-production, I'm going to blur the faces of attendees if recorded by accident to protect their privacy. I will then upload the videos to Youtube. This work will be done on an unpaid basis.
In addition, I plan to set up a live video stream with [Elgato Cam Link 4K](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K3FN5MR/?coliid=I3V4ALDHDY46MO&colid=33LDRRB08T8TY) and [OBS](https://obsproject.com). The video link will be embedded directly in the [Monero village website](http://monerovillage.org). Stream will be broadcast in 720p/60 fps format and will connect to a [HDMI Switch](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GGT7SZD/?coliid=I3M2DJMM8AR4VC&colid=33LDRRB08T8TY) to have 3 feeds to switch from live (projector, [camcorder A](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QJ7VPD4/?coliid=IX1PEBMAZGHIA&colid=33LDRRB08T8TY), camcorder B).
The video set up will be as follows:
![video schematic](https://taiga.getmonero.org/media/attachments/6/e/e/c/f98fe471f64647eca9448b805b9f962421f243cf952de69e50dba0da498b/defcon27_video.png)
#### The PA system
Last year, we didn't have a PA system for the first few talks due to difficulties in coordinating with goons. Defcon can be hectic and it is hard getting in contact with the right people. They were able to eventually help us get one set up. It would be much better to have our own PA system set up before the talks. I suggest getting this [Rockville Package PA System](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MQMQ53X/?coliid=I2KJ3EO3YN78UM&colid=33LDRRB08T8TY).
The audio set up will be as follows:

#### How do you plan to store all this stuff after Defcon?
Last year, the community [funded the purchase of supplies](https://forum.getmonero.org/8/funding-required/90538/monero-defcon-26-supplies) and a member that lives in Las Vegas helped with receiving packages (an inventory of what we have can be viewed [here](https://taiga.getmonero.org/media/attachments/8/2/2/8/9df754fad4c3c2be89abd76f6bb617b77471219f01950b407f957871231c/inventory.ods)). After Defcon, I packed all the supplies and banners in a large duffle bag and checked in the luggage for my trip back home. I kept the bag in a garage and will take it with me back to Las Vegas this year. If we fund the purchase of Audio/Video equipment, it is not practical to fly stuff back and forth.
I propose leasing a space in Las Vegas in a climate-controlled warehouse. I've received a quote from a logistics company that specializes in expos. We will be able to ship supplies from Amazon directly to the company for storage. A community member plans to rent a SUV during Defcon and has offered to help transport between the warehouse to hotel and back.
### Who
I am ajs. I've co-authored the scripts for the [Monero explainer videos](https://github.com/monero-ecosystem/promo-video) and volunteered last year to help with Defcon badges, supplies, and communications direction. This year, I will be response for A/V activities, communications direction, and logistics delivery.

We have made significant progress in our ability to support and enhance the outreach efforts of the Monero Community, and are beginning to receive requests for support from various areas of the Monero ecosystem. We are honored to be able to support Monero in this way, and we look forward even more to what is ahead!
Below is a breakdown of what we intend to work on for Round 3. Please note the Ongoing Project Tasks that we are working on now, during, and in between our CCS proposals. We have continued to volunteer on this important endeavor in between proposals.
# WHO:
#### Monero Outreach
We are a workgroup of creators, writers, technicians, translators, and visionaries. This is our Mandate:
- Drive greater Monero adoption and awareness through a variety of outreach-related activities; particularly public relations, education, and marketing.
- Respect the work done by the Core Developers and community workgroups, the founding principles of Monero, and the Monero ethos at all turns in the road so we do not jeopardize the integrity of what makes Monero great.
- Make the world a better place through Monero. We are motivated by the question: "How can we expect to prepare our children to live in this world, if we haven't prepared the world for our children”?
Learn more about us on our website: [https://www.monerooutreach.org/about.php]
# WHAT:
We will work toward the following milestones:
### Milestone group 1:
- Develop a quicksheet for core developers and community leadership with suggestions for communicating with the press.
- Create support materials for merchants.
- Ongoing project tasks.*

- Merge content w/ getmonero.org and improve Press Kit section of website.
- Continuously update toolkits and Quick Facts sheet.
- Post Monero updates on Twitter, Reddit, Blockfolio Signals, CoinGecko Beam, etc.
- Attempt to secure new revenue streams so we are not continually relying on CCS (Designs for Monero branded clothing, partnerships with mining pools or businesses, etc.).
- Seek and organize experts for developing the Monero Transmissions Lab, which exists to solve problems related to transmitting Monero transactions through decentralized, open source infrastructure.
- Seek and organize experts for discussing how to actively bring Monero adoption to countries like Venezuela and other economically challenged regions of South America and Africa (communication channels established and individuals recruited).
- Continue seeking methods to innovate and move forward on our [Roadmap](https://www.monerooutreach.org/about.php).

What's up everyone? Your friendly neighborhood rehrar here.
Let's talk about Defcon. Remember Defcon? Biggest hacker conference in the world. Taking place in Las Vegas, NV, USA, early this August? Well, last year Monero's village was a hueg success, and we were constantly full with people willing and eager to learn. This year, they've approved us for another village, and have given us a bigger space! Woohoo!
A lot of planning a preperation has already been taking place on Taiga, #monero-defcon in IRC, and in #monero-community where we have biweekly Defcon meetings. What's been most recently discussed is the need that we have to get some key volunteers there to make this village a success. These roles are:
- 2 A/V people, one for running sound, and the other for recording video. Reason: The Defcon people didn't do a fantastic job last year, and the videos turned out very underwhelming in terms of quality. So we want to do it ourselves this year.
- Floor manager/MC, or someone to make sure everything runs smoothly once the village is set up, the presentations start on time, and a point of contact for all non-Defcon related stuff.
- Full time volunteer, or someone that will be spending the majority of their time manning some of the informational tables at the start. Believe me, last year these tables got A LOT of traffic, and we were able to talk to tons and tons of people. Having someone there full-time would be awesome.
- Michael. There's no other way to say it, but Michael's organic connections in the space are the reason we can put on a village, both last year and this year. He is Defcon's official contact for our village, and his presence is greatly required.
We consider these the absolute must-haves in order for this village to funtion and be as successful (if not more) than last year. We are requesting for all expenses paid (flight, hotel, incidentals, Defcon cost) for these five people, who have already been chosen. They are ajs and midipoet, myself, sarang, and Michael respectively).
BUT we would also like to fund FOUR $500 scholarships for four part time volunteers to lower the barrier to Vegas for a few volunteer that are willing to spend the majority of their time making Monero a success. It was very nice to have many helping hands last year. Very needed.
The total value for all of these things is **$11645,** which is about on par for last year (plus the scholarships), and this comes out to **137 XMR** while using a $85/XMR (small buffer built in from current price of $87.5).
To quote last year's proposal: "To protect the privacy of different people's potential location that they will be traveling from, the breakdown of travel costs are not given, but can be provided to the Core Team upon request." The individual costs for anonymized volunteer attendees can be viewed in the milestones tab.https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/-/merge_requests/68Revert "Merge branch 'defcon-reimburse' into 'master'"2019-05-21T03:00:21ZDiego SalazarRevert "Merge branch 'defcon-reimburse' into 'master'"This reverts merge request !67This reverts merge request !67https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/-/merge_requests/67Add Defcon Reimburse Proposal2019-05-21T03:09:48ZDiego SalazarAdd Defcon Reimburse Proposal**NOTE: I accidentally made this proposal incorrectly in such a way that it came premerged, and so it is showing up on the Funding Required section of the website. been working on for the past year or so. Our aim has been to develop a PoW that requires any
implementation to include the major components of a CPU, and thus constrain all implementations
to have CPU-like performance. The code for RandomX is available for testing on
https://github.com/tevador/RandomX/
We solicited proposals from 4 different audit teams. One of these is already being paid for
by Arweave.org. The community voted to fund the other 3, in this priority order. The vote
occurred on https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/bozr0z/randomx_auditor_selection/
Like with the Bulletproofs audit, we are working with the Open Source Technology Improvement Fund (OSTIF),
which has generously offered to manage the exchange of XMR to fiat to pay the reviewers.
REQUEST
1. Kudelski 18,250 CHF ~ $18,094.04
2. X41 42,000 Euro ~ $46,902.58
3. QuarksLab $52,800.00
The total amount is around $118,000 (and may vary due to exchange rate fluctuations from USD
to CHF and EUR). The request is for 1400 XMR, using an exhange estimate of 1 XMR = 85 USD. Since
the funding is in fiat currency, this amount will be updated to reflect price fluctuations
until funded.
The reviews will be funded in this order as soon as sufficient funds are available. This means
that as soon as enough funds have been raised to pay for Kudelski we will engage them to begin
their review. If/when sufficient funds are raised to pay for X41 we will start that; if/when
sufficient additional funds are raised to cover QuarksLab we will start that. If we don't raise
enough funds to cover all 3 reviews we will go with whatever we can cover. As with any other CCS
proposal, any funds collected that aren't sufficient to meet a funding target will be reverted
to the general development fund.
Reviews must be completed by end of June so that any identified problems can be fixed by July,
and ready for a code freeze and subsequent October release.

Cryptocurrency, Mining and Fintech is quite unhealthy actually.. As a full-time thuroughbread hustler I am infinitely intreagued
by innovative new ways to build wealth and grow financially and XMR has always been my go-to privacy coin.. This is my first
CCS proposal, however in the past I have made proposals directly to the Core Monero Team and have also offered Graphic Design
support for the Official Monero Facebook Page.
**WHAT:**
My goal is to produce an entirely original Monero Anthem. The Anthem will be of the Rap & Hip-Hop variety and the lyrics will
carry references to key aspects of the cryptocurrency itself. For example, references to privacy, decentralization, security,
ring signatures, public keys, private keys, use-cases.. etc.. It should be a fun project and many Monero and Cypto Enthusiasts
will surely enjoy listening to what will be the fruits of my labor (with added community support should anyone want to chime in
with ideas or edits which anyone believes should be made to the specifics regarding technical content in the lyrics once they
are shared with the community.)
**WHO:**
I will be taking on the project personally, however I will be reaching out to the Monero Community via Twitter and the Monero
Subreddit for feedback and also so the Community can take part in shaping the outcome of the Anthem. You can find examples of
the music I create on most major platforms, however to find the newest content of mine, I recommend visiting my soundcloud.
Soundcloud: www.soundcloud.com/philthy9fifty
**WHY:**
I believe the Monero community would enjoy having an anthem that they can listen to and that allows them to express their interest
in Monero would be a great thing to have made available. And I can definitely provide that. Also this would be perfect to play
during Monero events and Developer Conferences as an intro while patrons and attendees are being seated.
**TIMELINE:**
Once the first milestone is reached I'll make it my first priority to deliver what the community wants! I don't slack, I git r' done.
So with that being said, I believe no more than 2 weeks after each milestone has been met is sufficient time to provide what has been
promised.
**EXPIRATION DATE:**
I believe 3 months is sufficient for this proposal.https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/-/merge_requests/64Monero representation at the Oslo Freedom Forum 20192019-06-03T12:47:17ZmidipoetMonero representation at the Oslo Freedom Forum 2019**Title -** midipoet: represent Monero Outreach at [Oslo Freedom Forum 2019](https://oslofreedomforum.com/events/2019-oslo-freedom-forum)

**What -** Alex Gladstein, from the [Human Rights Foundation](https://hrf.org/) had previously got in touch with Monero Outreach about the possibility of having someone at their [Oslo Freedom Forum](https://oslofreedomforum.com/events/2019-oslo-freedom-forum) event at the end of May 2019. xmrhaelan messaged me and asked would i be interested in going, as he knows i am close (europe based). I subsequently spoke with Alex on the phone, and we agreed that the event would be more of a fringe meetup/workshop, hosted by them in a semi-formal setting. It would probably be one/two hours - perhaps invite only (speakers and attendees) - and would be a chance to talk and demonstrate Monero to a new audience. Communicating Monero’s ideology, technology, its affordances for censorship resistance, civil liberty, information and financial privacy would be the primary goal. The workshop/event would also include a section where users would start using a mobile wallet, sending and receiving Monero, understanding the backup procedure, and so on. I would also attend the OFF event as a Monero representative. Since that initial conversation we have had contact with [Blockchangers](https://www.blockchangers.com/) who will be helping coordinate the event alongside Monero in Oslo. I believe this is a chance for some good publicity for Monero, and to also bring the technology to a new, interested, and in need audience.
**Who -** I hope a few more know me by now, but if not, hello! here is a little blurb. I have been in and around the community for a few years; slowly getting more involved as time goes on. Most of my recent interaction with the community has been through an Information Systems research project being conducted at University College Cork, Ireland. The result of this is now in the peer review process (which is a pain by the way). I will be presenting the findings of the research at [Konferenco](https://monerokon.com). Get your tickets now! My latest claim to Monero fame is a talk i gave at TabConf which can be found [here](https://youtu.be/6JIz_H8irAQ). I also recently gave a talk at at [CryptoFinance Oslo](https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/9yh9zi/cryptofinance_oslo_2018_report_by_midipoet/). Both of these trips were funded by the community, so thank you! Other than that, i would say i am just a community member and a privacy advocate. I am also a Dr (not a real one); completing my PhD in distributed music systems before shifting over to Information Systems and Financial Technology (don’t ask!). I am really just trying to stay away from the real world as long as possible.
**Why -** Its kind of difficult to say no to this one, as in all honesty i think this is the exact type of event we should be trying to get exposure for Monero at.
**The Proposal and Milestones -** This is going to be difficult, but i am am going to have to ask for all expenses and costs for this one. The Human Rights Foundation are not in a position to cover anything (though they are providing the venue). This means that my flight, hotel, food expenses, printing material expenses, some food and drinks for the participants (i am thinking some simple vegetarian friendly food and some water/soft drinks), and crucially some XMR to allow people to play around with the tech all need to be covered by the community.
I will ask for two payouts for this. One paid out before the event, as soon as the CCS is filled. This will allow me to book flights, pay for hotels, print education material so on and so forth, and the other on my return. i think that is quite fair. I am open to discussing any and all of this proposal if people have any issues.
**Expiration -** June 15th 2019
**Funding details (in EURO) -**
**Hotel:** €175 x 3 nights = €450
**Flight:** €250 (as at 06/05/2019)
**Food for me:** €50 per day for three days = €150
**Taxis/Trains/Busses/Ubers to and from airport:** €20 per day for three days = €60
**Printing Costs for Outreach material:** = €200
**Food for the workshop participants:** = €500
Based on an approximate XMR price of **€55 euro per XMR**, this equates to **29.27 XMR**
**Monero for workshop purposes:** = 0.1XMR per participant approx 100 participants. 10 XMR
**Total Cost:** 39.27 XMR **rounded up to 40 XMR**
**NB:** in a perfect world, i would like someone to be at this event with me. if the community thinks that is wise, i would like to nominate someone and then add this to the ask. I am open to discussion on all of the above.https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/-/merge_requests/63BtcPayServer Monero Integration2023-06-19T09:26:59ZAndrew CamilleriBtcPayServer Monero Integration### What the proposal is about.

BtcPayServer is an open-source, self-hosted cryptocurrency payment processor that allows merchants to not depend on any third-party to accept payments. Each deployment requires users to have their own full node.
Currently, BtcPay supports bitcoin(along with a few forks such as Litecoin, etc that are identical in design and rpc) and its lightning network. The only way for a merchant to accept any other non-compatible coins is to enable third-party integrations such as Changelly and Coinswitch which is far from ideal and often causes issues and headaches due to the way they function.
Integration would consist of allowing a user to specify a view-key in your BTCPay store and import that into the monero node. We then generate a subaddress for each invoice and monitor address while invoice is active.
### Who will complete the proposal?
My name is Andrew Camilleri but I go by the handle `Kukks`. I'm a .NET full stack developer and have been coding professionally in all sorts of industries for around 10 years. I've been contributing to BTCPay for around a year now and have switched to doing it full time a few months ago.
You can find me on the btcpay mattermost chat at https://chat.btcpayserver.org
Twitter: https://twitter.com/mrkukks
Github: https://github.com/kukks
### Why it is important for Monero and the community.
There has been a relatively high demand for Monero to be integrated into BTCPay. Links for Monero support requests:

### Your milestones and projected timeline
I estimate to have a shippable version within a 2 month time-frame.
The bulk of the work will be spent abstracting BTCPay's bitcoin logic to handle the differences in Monero.
I will also need to write a .NET client for Monero's RPC seeing as the only library available has been untouched for over 2 years.
Once BTCPay can handle monero and communictae with the monero node, I will start work on adding Monero to the Btcpay Docker installer.
### An expiration date for the proposal.

Church of Monero
Intention: Unite the community in Spirit and create a fun workgroup where members can learn about Monero.
Outcome: Offended many of the Monero developers and contributors for my use of Religious symbollism.
Gender Equality Reddit Post
Intention: Make a joke about how it is impossible to prove the gender of online accounts.
Outcome: Some people found this joke distasteful and concerned them about the public image of Monero.
Korean Translation
Intention: Translate Monero documents into Korean.
Outcome: Challenge ErCiccione's position by proposing to facilitate Korean translations.
Konferenco Flier
Intention: Promote the Konferenco with an art piece and collect donations to cover expenses to attend the Konferenco.
Outcome: Mislead the community into retweeting and forwarding my personal QR Code on a Konferenco flier.
DEFCON AMA
Intention: Answer questions about the Monero Village. Later, utilize a censorship resistant technology to highlight unfair treatment.
Outcome: Almost get the Monero Village banned from DEFCON and get banned from many Monero channels, including the Church of Monero Channel.
I am told I have made moral mistakes that need to be addressed and apologized for before I can be a welcomed member of the Monero Community.
How do you assess the basis of morality? Are intentions an important consideration in your moral calculus? Or are outcomes more important?
My intentions here are pure. Monero is an experimental technology with specific use cases. I apologize for the outcome of my actions in pursuit of developing this technology.
**Proposal**
I think we still do not understand what Money is and I do not feel comfortable calling Monero "Sound Money" until there is an audit and simplified proof of the Monero supply.
As I understand, there are two calculations that need to be performed. 1) Total Monero supply based on block rewards. 2) Feasibility of inflating the supply with counterfeit range proofs.
(2) May not be possible to prove with certainty, because the vulnerability might require significant compute power. That said, the degree to which such compute power could be deployed is a worthwhile consideration.
I have included my public apology in this proposal in the hopes that I can resolve dispute within the community and come together to work on this research.https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/-/merge_requests/60Church of Monero Website2019-05-05T20:36:03ZXeaguChurch of Monero Website**WHO** Your friendly, neighborhood Xeagu here. Many in the Church of Monero, including @lh1008 have raised the issue of developing a Church of Monero website.
**WHAT** I am requesting $1500 or 23 xmr for the development and server hosting for this website.
I am requesting an immediate payout of $200 to pay for server related costs followed by 50% of the remaining funds be paid out at the 50% and 100% website completed milestones.
**WHY** I know what many of you are going to say - "Religion is off-topic" - but please allow me to make a case.
The 1st rule of the Monero CCS is "An individual or team (henceforth 'proposer') has an idea to improve the Monero ecosystem that requires funds."
I believe that a Church of Monero website is an improvement to the Monero ecosystem because it will provide an additional channel for Monero education.
I believe the Monero CCS should not deny the Church of Monero from participating in fundraising programs.
May the 4th be with you.
