So basically, and I don't know how to do this, but for now I would like to void this draft, and instead have a simpler first draft to build community trust and such. Basically as a first example of work and whatnot I'd like to get an estimate for something, post it to the Monero community, have it crowdfunded, have it created.

tl;dr -

There are so many people who would love Monero who have never heard about it. My main aim is to get it on people's tongues with the emphasis being "some people say it's better than Bitcoin".

Users should be able to register, upload photos which are verified by someone (probably me) before being posted for voting. Registered users should be able to vote. (email registration)

4. Have contest: ads for Monero

I noticed some great graphic artists when we were designing logos for farcaster, and I'm sure we can see a lot of good advertisements if our community put themselves to the task. The advertisements will be put to a vote and the top scoring 10 ads will move onto stage 2. There will be a 1 week time limit to submit your design, and 1 week for people to vote on it.

We may have to change this at our discretion if we get something like "name the new mountain dew flavor" did. But I believe that will be readily apparent.

5. Google ads for Monero

The top ten ads will be used as google ads advertisements around words associated with cryptocurrency. Displayed on each ad will be a Monero logo, a greater than sign, and a bitcoin logo, (standing for Monero is Greater Than Bitcoin), as well as the name of the website created in milestone 2. The ad which gets the highest clickthrough rate will go onto step 6.

6. Times Square, New York City

According to this website:https://www.investopedia.com/articles/investing/022315/high-cost-advertising-times-square.asp#:~:text=It%20costs%20between%20%241.1%20and,on%20Time%20Square's%20largest%20billboard. It can cost between $5000-$50,000 a day to buy a billboard in new york times square. I say we put it at 50k$ to raise and just buy the longest time slot we can. This gets us a day minimum. More is gravy.

7. Share it on social media.

Really advertising in times square isn't for the people who will be walking by, it's for the people who will see the picture of it posted on social media, will get curious, and will become part of this community. Which is also why I want a better, slightly more deliberate, intro video than what they have on GetMonero.org.

That's a rough way to be introduced to Monero, it seems phony, I was personally put off watching it, I want something that says we're not just another crypto, we're THE crypto honestly I want something calmly and politely pointing out bitcoin's flaws and how Monero already solved them. A sort of we're on the same team feel, while still attacking Bitcoin's faults.

Some of you may see this as combative, and you are correct. But when I want to explain Monero's boons I start with what Bitcoin has and why that's a problem first, then I say why Monero has already solved that problem.

It brings people on board much faster that way.

Some of you may be fearful that I will ruffle some Bitcoin Maximalists' feathers, I think that fear is warranted. But to be honest, I do honestly personally believe Monero is greater than Bitcoin, and I believe many in the Monero community, especially converted Bitcoin maximalists, feel the same way. The public just needs to be informed.

If you don't like the controversial tone, that's fine, don't personally fund it, but don't ask me to change this point. Make no mistake. This is somewhat of an attack on Bitcoin's credibility as a currency. Some people will probably be angry.

That is fine and expected. But we will convert many because we are correct, and adversarial anger will put Monero on people's tongues. This is the ultimate goal, I want Monero to be a word people know like they know Bitcoin and Ethereum.
