We are astounded and a little heartbroken by the way Monero.Shopping got "dealt with" on the Monero Community Workgroup Meeting
Monero CCS should be a haven for ideas to grow and thrive by providing a place for the community to come to decisions/conclusion and not make those decisions/conclusion on behalf of the community.
We think the call to close a proposal in the Idea-Stage is only appropriate in cases of obvious fraud, abandonment or continues guideline violations.
The sheer disdain and joy of quote:"burn" an idea in its infancy is a shame and shows the dangers of herd-mentality and intoxication by power.
(not to mention this)
Actions like this destroy enthusiasm and hurt the integrity of Monero CCS and Monero as a whole.
But we get it, initial skepticism is natural and we need to prove ourself.
Ultimately we think that your decision comes from the impulse to protect the community and we failed to communicate our Idea properly.
We "got off on the wrong foot" so to speak.
We updated our proposal and would like to kindly ask the Ministry of Truth the Monero CCS-Team to at least let the idea proposal open for 6 months for us to work on Monero.Shopping, get people interested and get a community project going!
If Monero.Shopping wont produce anything of value or excitement after the 6 months, we will close it ourself.
A project like Monero.Shopping relies heavily on credibility and it is crucial for this project to go through Monero CCS and earn its reputation!
So, please give us the possibility to explore the idea of Monero.Shopping and prove or at least disprove its validity!
