Merged ofrnxmr requested to merge ofrnxmr/ccs-proposals:totw3 into master
1 unresolved thread

Welcome back. Hopefully I still have your ear.

I'd like to take a moment to express gratitude towards all of my anonymous supporters. I see you, and I thank you for everything you've helped me with thus far. I wouldn't be here without you. If this proposal is merged, I will likely be good through til 2026.

This may not seem as abnormal as I'd have liked. The title is what it is, but the proposal is intended to cover contributions to Monero proper. It was requested that I open a new MR instead of editing the old one.

  • 14xmr/mth includes 20-25hrs/wk on customer support, docs, site, ccs, assisting devs, and attempting to take over the world:
    • 3xmr/mth work with core devs, community devs, researchers, and other contributors to test or advise on features, issues, community projects etc.
    • 3xmr/mth #monero-support: Lead the support channel & provide hands on support to users
    • 3xmr/mth #monero-docs: Maintain¹ (or help to maintain) monero-docs repo and/or assist plowsof, 321bob321 and others with content
    • 2xmr/mth #monero-site: Maintain¹ (or help to maintain) monero-site repo and/or assist plowsof, hardenedsteel and others with content
    • 2xmr/mth #monero-community: Assisting CCS proposers (and plowsof) with relations/logistics
    • 1xmr/mth take over the world: dedicate time to dealing with "meta" stuff. There is quite a bit of unfinished business (on and off repo) that needs to be tackled
    • donate to others

The above amounts are estimates. Actual distribution may vary.

  • IMO much better than both old and even other proposals.

    • There are several issues with this proposal. For brevity I shall highlight but two:

      • Anything involving leadership or relations which comprises the entirety
        • As already highlighted by sgp with several examples in part 1 of homophobia and so forth violating LiberaChat policy: !444 (comment 23989)
        • As already highlighted by kayabaNerve in part 1: "Then I do not believe ofrnxmr should be officially endorsed (as implied by core managing their fundraising for the work) as such a community representative. They not only harass other members of the project, on the belief they've been first provoked and that makes it okay, they admit to it without shame (arguably even bragging about it on Twitter)."
      • Getting paid ~$5,750 for -docs 'work'
        • Has 0 contributions including pending PRs to sgp's maintained fork hosted under MAGIC Grants's getmonero.dev
        • Has deliberately lied and actively harassed the maintainer of getmonero.dev both on Twitter and GitHub
        • Has unironically forked in February the docs repository they attacked and submitted 0 commits over 6 months with the exception of 1 commit updating the theme URL
        • While 3 commits have been made to -docs following the opening this CCS, they are trivial readme changes

Given the first point called by multiple community members, should the proposer have engaged in further particularly malicious actions against multiple community members that Core is aware of due to having elevated privileges, but Core merges or directs someone to merge a proposal and pay out in this case $27,000 USD to a bad actor with such a history it will do damage to the community and project. Paying out ransomware helps bad actors continue their malicious operations. The same general principles apply here.

The bad actor is not the lonely savior they and alts like to make themselves out to be as several others help out in -support and other parts of the project that this CCS proposal touches.

    • Comparing some rude behaviors to ransomware doesn't make sense while I agree its better to solve this issue but not must for the proposal.

      xmrscott LIES through his teeth.

first he says I threatened community members lives (total bullshit), Now he's claiming that I'm on record as homophobic several times. bruh, youre fkn WEIRD! I've never made ANY comments about ANYONE's sexuality. Making shit up about the topic is extremely WEIRD!!!! You need help.

I don't have alts, scott. You do! LMAO! What's wrong with this guy? Clearly something. Lives in a fantasy.

  • So currently the (unpaid) docs workgroup of 2.5 admins are setting up this repo in test branch, so that once it has a base layer people can contribute to docs.getmonero.org and not some attempt to confuse or mislead (you can choose) people so that they think that getmonero.dev(ise) is linked to getmonero.org. Its up to the individual person to choose where they want to contribute to and there is no pre-requisites on doing this on a specific repo ( i wouldn't contribute to getmonero.devise). I think your personal opinions/vendetta should be left out of this, cause those in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks https://github.com/monero-project/meta/issues/899.

Currently plowsof, ofrn and i are doing this at our own time and expense. You can contribute if you.

All these prs are because of backend co-ordniation and not because of some frontend dealings.

The only bad actor is you scott and your wet paper bag brigade

  • Considering that the author just had his other (10x larger) proposal merged and funded, I'd prefer to see how that works out before hiring him for other jobs. Both would be competing for his time and I'd prefer that his undivided attention be spent on delivering on his 1685 xmr proposal first.
